Here’s your chance to show what your business is all about – the return of the Laramie Enduro "Bike Brawl & Team Rumble." The Laramie Enduro is Wyoming’s Premier Endurance Mountain Bike Race. The race will take place on July 29th and we are limiting the number of racers to 300 this year. We're changing the format somewhat this year, so here’s the scoop:
For $300, a team (bike shop, business, or any other team) can register FIVE riders for their team. Each team can enter additional riders (up to ten total riders per team). Each additional team rider above the five minimum riders will cost an additional $55 ($55 if registration is post-marked on/before and $75 if post-marked after July 15, 2006). Additional riders can be registered electronically as individual riders (just attach a note to the Active.com registration or e-mail the race director). To electronically register for either category just select the Bike Brawl category (see below).
BIKE BRAWL: This event is designed for Businesses and other groups comprised of mostly Sport riders (a.k.a. weekend warriors) to compete as a team. Each Bike Brawl team can have up to three professional/expert class riders. For teams with more than three professional/expert class riders your team will be automatically registered in the Team Rumble event.
TEAM RUMBLE: This event is designed for the next level of team riders. Each Team Rumble team can have four or more professional/expert riders.
Team Scoring: This year scoring for these two categories will be conducted a bit differently than last year. In an attempt to make this a true "team" ride, only the time of the fourth place finisher from each team will be used to decide the entire team's overall place. This provides a team incentive to ride and work together, to help make sure at least four team members finish.
When team rider rosters are submitted (by directly contacting the racer director either after electronic registration has been completed or during postal mail registration), every rider must be classified as either sport/intermediate or pro/expert. All pro/expert riders can compete for the cash prizes, but they must be registered as a pro/expert (before the day of the race) to be eligible. All riders in other categories (sport/intermediate, single speed, etc.) can compete for the awards to be presented for each of those respective categories.
The additional $25 dollars added to each registration fee provides your business with the following advertising opportunity: Your business name, logo (if provided), and contact information will be posted on our website before the race and stay on the website until the next year's race. In addition, the Bike Brawl and Team Rumble winners and results (on a separate web page) will also remain on the website until next year. Each of these team categories will also receive special awards.
If you are interested in this fun opportunity to compete for bragging rights against other businesses in the region, please feel free to contact Rich Vincent at Enduro.RV@gmail.com with questions, etc.
