Camping/Lodging

Camping at the race site:

Primitive camping will be availabe at the start/finish. We will have outhouses available beginning Thursday evening before the race through Monday morning. There is no water on site.

Do your best to stay in the area shown on the map below. If you camp outside of the area shown, you must be within 100 feet of an open system road.

Developed Campgrounds:

There are four campgrounds fairly near the start/finish. Tie City (6 miles), Yellowpine (6 miles), and Vedauwoo (15 miles) are National Forest campgrounds with water, picnic benches and outhouses. It’s a good idea to check on the status of Forest Service campgrounds around Laramie. They don’t tend to be consistently open or have reliable water. Curt Gowdy State Park (9 miles) has campgrounds with water, picnic benches and outhouses along with a visitor center with showers.

Hotels:

The race falls on the last weekend of Cheyenne Frontier Days. Accordingly, hotel rooms may be hard to come by. We will try to work with a few Laramie hotels to have rooms blocked off for the race. We highly recommend making reservations early.
